When/where: 8 p.m. Tuesday at PPL Center.

What’s next: Winner will play at District 12 champ on March 19 in state quarterfinals.

How they got here: Bangor defeated No. 4 Blue Mountain 64-60; ES South defeated No. 7 ES North 70-32 and No. 3 Pottsville 57-50.

Key Bangor personnel: Probable starters, Bangor: Gabe Zieba (5-10 Sr. G) 15.9 ppg; Josh Giaquinto (6-1 So. G) 10.1 ppg; Justin Peterson (6-4 So. F) 4.5 ppg; Daniel Heald (6-6

26.1 ppg). Others to watch, Jace Eldridge (5-8 Sr. G) 1.6 ppg; James Merklinger (6-1 Jr. F) 2.1 ppg; Caleb Ramthun (6-6 Sr. C).

Key South personnel: Probable starters, Christian Sapp (6-0 Sr. F) 12.4 ppg; Jasir Parker (6-0 Sr. G) 9.4 ppg; Pape Sarr (6-0 Sr. G) 7.6 ppg; Jaiden Cesanek (6-4 Sr. C)

3.3 ppg; Gabriel Mileto (Jr. G) 12.2 ppg. Others to watch, Nathaniel McIntyre (Jr. C) 5.9 ppg; Michael Patterson (So. G) 4.8 ppg. Coaches: Bangor’s Colin Kessler in his second season with the Slaters, 27-15. Shawn Munford is in his ninth season with the Cavaliers, 109-94. Previous meeting: Bangor won 59-55 in 2007.

What to expect: The Colonial League championship was great for the Slaters, but they would truly love to end a district title drought that extends back to 1988. Bangor will need to play with the smarts and toughness it possessed in beating Notre Dame. South is well-coached and features several quality athletes, especially in Villanova-bound football player Sapp. But the Cavaliers haven’t played as tough of a schedule as Bangor and may be a year away from taking a title.

Keith Groller’s pick: Bangor 66-61.
