Veronica Gonzalez

United Way of the Greater Lehigh Valley recently announced the appointmen­t of Veronica Gonzalez as executive director of Valley Health Partners Community Health Center to a two-year term.

She has over 12 years of health care administra­tion experience with expertise in process improvemen­t, leadership, fiscal responsibi­lity and community-based program management. Gonzalez began her health care career at Lehigh Valley Health Network in 2005, first working as a secretary and later as a trained medical interprete­r.

Always an advocate for the underserve­d, she held leadership positions overseeing the Interprete­r Services Department of LVHN, the Centro de Salud Latino Health Initiative, the Center for Women’s Medicine and served as the administra­tor of the Community Practices that transition­ed to VHP at LVHN 17th Street Campus, where the community receives culturally sensitive quality health care services.

As executive director, Gonzalez closely collaborat­es with the VHP Board of Directors to establish long-term strategic goals to deliver high-quality health care to Valley Health Partners’ patient population.

Gonzalez holds an associate’s degree in health care administra­tion from Northampto­n Community College, a bachelor’s degree in business administra­tion from the Wescoe School of Muhlenberg College and a master’s degree in business administra­tion with a concentrat­ion in health care management systems from DeSales University.
