Carmen Rodriguez, 81, of Bethlehem, died Tuesday, March 30, 2021. Born in Patillas, Puerto Rico she was the daughter of the late Juan Nieves and Victoria Rodriguez. She was faithfully married to Jose Rodriguez with whom she would have celebrated 60 years of marriage on May 13th. Carmen, had an amazing power of love. She lived her entire life serving others by giving hope to others on how to overcome burdens Gracefully.Through her profound Faith in God and The Rosary prayer she received a miraculous healing enabling her to play a central role at "Holy Infancy Gift Shop." She was a very devout member of Holy Infancy Catholic Church in Bethlehem, where she was active in the Ladies of Sacred Heart, the Cursillo Movement and Marriage Encounter Group. Carmen will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Jose, children, Ozzie Rodriguez, Nancy Santiago, Edwin Rodriguez, Magdalena Sweet, Carmen Annette Jordan, Joseph Rodriguez and wife Karen, Alexis Rodriguez, and Marisol Santee, sisters, Juana Nieves and Margot Latalli, 22 grandchild­ren and 18 great grandchild­ren.

She was preceded in death by her brothers, Francisco Nieves and Manuel Nieves, sisters, Roberta Nieves and Cirila Nieves, and 2 grandchild­ren, Raven and JJ. A viewing will be held on Tuesday, April 6, 2020 at Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, PA 18018 from 6-9 PM. A calling hour will be held at Holy Infancy Catholic Church, 312 E. 4th St., Bethlehem, PA 18015 from 9-10 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM. Entombment will be at Holy Saviour Cemetery, Bethlehem. Due to the ongoing pandemic numbers will be limited, a mask will be required and please practice social distancing. Memorial contributi­ons may be made in Carmen’s name to Holy Infancy Catholic Church.
