Richard G. Wagner

Richard G. Wagner, 65, of Allentown passed away Tuesday, April 6, 2021 surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Allentown a son of the late Richard R. and Gladys K.C. (Koch) Wagner. Richard was a graduate of William Allen High School Class of 1973 and Muhlenberg College. He recently retired from the Lehigh Valley Health Network after 35 years of service. Richard was an avid fisherman, bowler and lover of classic rock. He was a true family man and an involved dad and pappy. Given the gift of gab, he was everyone's best friend and never met a stranger.

Survivors: former wife turned best friend, Shirley J. Wagner of Allentown, daughters, Melissa K. and her husband Jason B. Fusselman of New Tripoli, Jennifer A. Wagner and her fiancé Todd M. Troxell of Whitehall, Stephanie M. and her husband Terry Miller of Smyrna, TN, Kimberly R. and her husband Matthew J. Burkhardt of New York City; sister Barbara A. and her husband Jeffrey Traupman of Carmel, IN; he was Pappy Richard to Taryn, Abby, Tyler, Cameron, Landon, Matrix and Legacy; his grand dogs Mia, Zoey and Ralph. He was predeceased by his grandson Austin.

Services: 2:00 P.M. Thursday in the Stephens Funeral Home, Inc. 274 North Krocks Road in Allentown.

Call 1:00 - 2:00 P.M. Thursday in the funeral home. Interment will be private in the Highland Memorial
