Keystone State Championships recap
The Valley Elementary Wrestling League canceled its season. District 11 junior high followed suit. And Pennsylvania Junior Wrestling bagged its state tournament.
But organizers gave non-high school wrestlers an alternative, the Keystone State Championships, which were held last week at the Monroeville Convention Center outside of Pittsburgh.
Like PJWs, the Keystone State Championships required placement at a qualifying tournament in order to participate.
Five area boys and three girls brought home state titles. Here is a list of area medalists by age and weight class:
