Patrick J. Reap, of

Jefferson Township, died Friday at the Lehigh Valley Hospital following an extended illness. His wife of 47 years is the former Virginia Schuh.

Born in Scranton, he was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Mildred McDonnell Reap. He graduated from St.

Paul H.S. and retired from Paper Magic.

Patrick was a former patron of St. Stephen's Booster Club. He was known for his love of golf and enjoyed attending the Masters Tournament. Above all, his greatest passion was his family. He loved spending time with them, especially for holidays, including St. Patrick's Day, his birthday! Surviving him are daughters: Dr. Jennifer Rovella and husband E.J., Coopersbur­g, Karen Gosnell and husband Jerry, South Carolina, and Amy Lawlor and husband John, Blandon; grandchild­ren: Lincoln, Landon and Genevieve Rovella, Kayla and Charlotte Gosnell, and Josie Lawlor. Also surviving are sister, Ann Ferkile and husband William, Scranton; brother, Frank Reap and wife Bette, Catasauqua; nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 am in the Miller Bean Funeral Home Inc., 436 Cedar Ave. Scranton. Interment will follow in Fairview Memorial Park, Elmhurst. Friends and family may pay their respects Wednesday from 9 am until time of service. Social distancing guidelines will be enforced and masks will be required.
