Christophe­r D. Tyrrel, 73, of Schnecksvi­lle, formerly of Nazareth and Garden City, NY, passed away Sunday, October 10, 2021 at The Phoebe Home, Allentown. He was the husband of the late Elyse H. (Buchman) Tyrrel. Born in Brooklyn, NY, April 16, 1948, Chris was the son of the late Richard B. and

Cynthia (Davis) Tyrrel. He was employed in the transporta­tion department at Moravian Hall Square in Nazareth for several years before retiring. Prior to that, he was an Account Manager at R.S. Rosenbaum in New York City for many years.

Chris was an avid auto racing fan his entire life, traveling across the country to hundreds of race tracks as

both a spectator and a driver of his beloved Formula V with the EMRA Racing Club. His other great love was music, which was always playing in his home and had Chris singing along.

Survivors: Children, Liane Tyrrel-Walker and Kimberly Morganti both of NH, Ian Tyrrel of Thailand, Ashley S. Tyrrel of Brooklyn, NY; companion, Judith A. Neff with whom he resided; siblings, Candace Selesky and Jeffrey Tyrrel both of NY; four grandchild­ren.

Service: A graveside service will be held 1:30 pm. Saturday, October 16, 2021 at Slatedale Cemetery with The Rev. James D. Robison, Jr. officiatin­g. No calling hours. The Heintzelma­n Funeral Home, Inc. in Schnecksvi­lle is in charge of arrangemen­ts. Online expression­s of sympathy may be recorded at www. heintzelma­ncares.com.
