Bridget S (McCarthy) Sullivan

Bridget S. Sullivan, 55, formerly of Macungie, passed away on September 29th in Cypress, Texas with her family by her side. She was the daughter of the late Francis and Elizabeth McCarthy. Bridget graduated from Holy Family Academy in Bayonne, NJ. She worked as an Aide helping disabled children at Lower Macungie School and as a Field Operations Assistant at Buckeye Partners, LP in Macungie.

Bridget was a devoted wife and mother who adored her family and friends. She was a kind, loving and compassion­ate soul who never met a stranger. Bridget would always be the one to host an event or holiday and loved to cook and entertain. She was all about making people happy.

Bridget was preceded in death by her mother, father, and sister, Karen Sorber. She is survived by her husband, Jim Scandola; son, Captain Mathew Sullivan; daughters, Cassidy and Kelsi Sullivan; step-daughters, Sarah and Aylor Scandola; and step-son, Joseph Scandola. She will be missed tremendous­ly by her bothers, Kevin McCarthy (Denise) of Providence, RI and Francis McCarthy Jr. (Michelle) of Bel Air, MD; Godmother, Susan Johnson (David) of Mechanicsb­urg,

PA; and extended aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews as well as her in-laws.

A funeral Mass will be held on December 11, 2021 as a combined service for Bridget and her father Francis McCarthy (aka Champ) who passed away on August 11th. Visitation starting at 9:00 am and a Mass at 10:00 am at St. Francis of Assisi Church 250 E. Hancock St., St. Clair, PA 17970. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Sisters in Sobriety of Texas where Bridget found support, friendship and peace. www.
