Sallie V. Klotz
Sallie Violet Klotz, 88, of Lehigh Twp, passed away Thursday, June 30 in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Muhlenberg campus.
Born in West
Bowmans and raised in Stemlersville, she was a daughter of the late Melvin and Ida (Haman) Dunbar.
Sallie was the wife of the late Kermit M. Klotz for 63 years until his passing in 2015. A Christian, she was a member of Faith Alive United Methodist Church, Bowmanstown.
Sallie graduated from S.S. Palmer High School in the class of 1950.
She spent the early half of her career working as a seamstress in local garment mills, later returning to the workforce at the former Laneco in Lehighton.
Sallie had a green thumb in the garden, a talent for baking sweet treats, and a love of literature as a voracious reader. Her greatest accomplishment was providing a loving and caring home to her children and grandchildren.
Survivors: Daughters Donna Goodhile, Delores and husband Mark Reitz, Kathleen and husband Jeff Hagenbuch; sons Roger and wife Susan, Bruce and wife Eva, Alan and wife Debbie; sisters Gloria Senechal-Dotter, Mary Dotter,
Lillian McFarland; brother Melvin and wife Linda; grandchildren Brian, Timothy, Ulises, Matthew and wife Melissa, Bronson, Jessica, Christopher, Kyle, Stephanie and Lauren. Sallie was predeceased by brothers Richard, Myron, Marvin and Willard.
Services: 11 a.m. Friday, July 8 in church, 678 Pine St, Palmerton. Call 6-7:30 p.m. Thursday, July 7 at T.K. Thomas Funeral Home, 145 Delaware Ave, Palmerton, and 10-11 a.m. Friday
