Lights in Greenawalds kicks off this weekend after 3-year hiatus
The free Christmas lights display Lights in Greenawalds will kick off Saturday in South Whitehall Township.
Featuring thousands of lights, the display at 2040 Greenawalds Ave. is returning for the first time since 2019.
Starting at 4:30 p.m. , the event will host performances from announcer Mike Mittman from the Service Electric Network and iHeartRadio’s Real Oldies 1470, and local band Common Bond, formed in 2004.
Joining them to take pictures with attendees will be Santa Claus and the Grinch.
The lights will run until Dec. 23 and the concession stand will be open 5-8 p.m. Friday through Sundays, and will include popcorn, hot chocolate and candy.
Emergency services will be directing parking. Potential bad weather updates can be followed on the event’s Facebook page.
The light show is free, but donations are accepted.
