2007: Isiah Wright rushes for 147 yards and three

TDs to help Freedom to a

28-6 win at Whitehall in the Eastern Conference Class 4A championsh­ip game, earning the school’s first-ever football title of any kind. The Patriots also finish with a school-record 9-3 record.

2007: Liberty’s 10-game winning streak in eastern Pennsylvan­ia postseason games comes to an end when Hazleton’s Nate Eachus runs for a go-ahead 82-yard TD with 1:23 left, then stops Ahkeem Smith on a two-point conversion attempt with six seconds left to preserve Hazleton’s

21-20 win. Eachus runs for

387 yards and two TDs to help the Mountainee­rs reach the District 1½ Class 4A subregiona­l championsh­ip game against unbeaten Parkland.

2002: Greg Vaughn runs for

170 yards a TD to help East Stroudsbur­g University secure a piece of its first PSAC East title since 1991 with a 34-7 win over Kutztown.

2002: Despite scoring a national-record 188 goals, Emmaus is denied the PIAA Class 3A field hockey title when Central Bucks West blanks the Green Hornets 1-0 in the title game. The loss snaps a 53-game winning streak for Emmaus (271), which outscored opponents 188-8 to set another national mark, while the victory by the Bucks (26-1-1) avenges a 1-0 loss to the Hornets in the 2001 title game.
