LCTI closes Wednesday after fourth threat
For the fourth time in as many school days, Lehigh Career & Technical Institute closed Wednesday morning after a reported threat against the school.
“We are sorry to announce that once again,
LCTI is closing due to a threat to the school,” according to an email sent Wednesday morning to parents of Emmaus students. “… If additional information from LCTI is available, we will be sure to share this with you. Again, we are so sorry that this is happening to our students and we apologize for the inconvenience.”
In a letter posted to the school’s website Tuesday, administrators said they’re working with state police to investigate the source of the threats. “State police are collaborating with municipal police and federal authorities in their ongoing investigation of the threat reports, which were made via Safe2Say Something, the state’s anonymous tip hotline,” according to the letter.
