Boys and Girls Club of Allentown receives grant
The Boys and Girls Club of Allentown will receive a $250,000 state grant to assist the organization in fulfilling its role in helping the youth and young adults of Allentown succeed, according to state Sen. Pat Browne, R-Lehigh, chairman of the Senate’s Appropriations Committee.
Browne secured the funds through the 2022-2023 state budget.
The grant will be used to fund several building renovation projects that have been on the organization’s priority list for many years. Projects include remodeling work at the Sixth Street Clubhouse and renovations to the Turner Street Clubhouse’s kitchen.
