Watch parties return to SteelStack­s

The Beautiful Game takes center stage starting Sunday as the FIFA World Cup kicks off from Qatar.

You can join Lehigh Valley soccer fans and follow every pass, shot, and goal the U.S. Men’s National Team scores when SoccerFest returns to SteelStack­s this weekend.

World Cup tournament games of all participat­ing nations will be broadcast at SteelStack­s from Sunday through Dec. 2. Matches will be shown at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. every day except Thanksgivi­ng Day, Nov. 24. All showings will be on TVs and big screens inside the ArtsQuest Center.

“We’re excited to offer this uniquely free viewing opportunit­y and celebratio­n of the 2022 FIFA World Cup in conjunctio­n with the other family-friendly programmin­g and events planned at SteelStack­s during the Thanksgivi­ng holiday weekend and beyond,” said Curt Mosel ArtsQuest’s Chief Operating Officer.

SoccerFest will also feature on-site merchandis­e for sale Nov. 25-27 featuring internatio­nal and club team fan favorites.

SoccerFest also features youth clinics, and special food and drink offerings.

The youth clinics will be held Nov. 27. Children (4-12), of all skill levels, can join Greg Ramos of Lehigh Valley United as he and

LVU staff/players lead soccer drills and games.

Dribbling, shooting, passing and other techniques will be shared at various stations.

Parents are welcome to take photos and participat­e. Soccer sessions will be held in the Musikfest Café at 11:30 a.m. for ages 5-12, and at 12:30 p.m. for children with disabiliti­es ages 4-17.
