1997: Freedom grad Tanya Lindenmuth, who holds three junior national titles, is named the junior female rider of the year by USA Cycling.
1993: Kody Gildner runs for 152 yards and two touchdowns and Palmerton secures its first football championship since a 1951 Lehigh Valley League title with a 19-0 victory over Pine Grove in the District 11 Class 2A final. The Blue Bombers finish with a schoolrecord 10-2 mark.
1988: Moravian forces seven turnovers (four fumbles, three interceptions) and gets a touchdown run and pass from Rob Light to beat Widener, 17-7, in the Greyhounds’ first-ever NCAA Division III playoff game.
1988: Lafayette and Lehigh combine for 1,257 total yards in the highest-scoring game of the 124-game rivalry, a 52-45 Lafayette victory.
