Museum continues holiday tradition
The smiling faces of youngsters thoughtfully selecting gifts for family and friends has long encouraged the perpetuation of the Little Shoppers Village at the Liberty Bell Museum, 622 W. Hamilton Street, Allentown; continuing a tradition in Allentown’s major departments stores of yesteryear.
Our elves assist children who eagerly arrive with a list of names and ages in hand.
Each selection is gift bagged and labeled to assure delightful surprises Christmas morning. Or, if they prefer, we welcome parents/adults to shop with their children. Gifts for all ages priced from $1 to $4 each.
While the Pip Season runs Nov. 25 to Dec. 31, the 2022 Little Shoppers Village is only available from noon to 4 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 25 and Saturday, Dec. 3 and 10 as part of your admission to “Pip, the Mouse Before Christmas” puppet show. Mark your calendar for a truly wonderful family holiday destination.
Sixty years ago Pip premiered in the window of Hess’s Department store; since 2003 Pip joyfully resides at the Liberty
Bell Museum. Three generations, one mischievous mouse and his accompanying shopping adventure add up to guaranteed memories.
