Margaret M. Deutsch, 98 of Whitehall, passed away peacefully on November

21, 2002, at Phoebe Allentown. Born in Whitehall, she was the daughter of the late Michael Matika and Mary (Oleksik) Matika. She was the widow of Frank O. Deutsch with whom she was married to for 54 years prior to his passing in February of 2004. Margaret was a 1942 graduate of Whitehall High School. She was a Secretary for Mack Trucks. She was a member of St. John Fisher Catholic Church in Catasauqua. Family meant the world to her. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Margaret will be lovingly remembered by her daughters; Frances M. Getz and husband Dennis of North Catasauqua, Christina M. Deutsch of Whitehall; grandchild­ren; Rebecca Getz-Keller and husband Shawn of North Catasauqua,

James Getz and wife Annemarie of Vancouver, British Columbia and great granddaugh­ter,

Lux Getz of Reno, Nevada and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predecease­d by her daughter, Monica Deutsch and siblings Michael Matika, Mary Burke, Anna Budihas, Elizabeth Shedlock, John and George Matika. There will be a visitation on Wednesday, November 23, 2022, at St. John Fisher Catholic Church 1239 3rd St., Catasauqua, PA. 18032 from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. Funeral mass officiated by Father Eric Gruber will commence at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow at St. Andrew’s Cemetery in Catasauqua.
