Bob passed away on November 20, 2022, in Allentown. He was 87 years old. Born in Freeland PA, he was the son of the late Neale J. and Susan Boyle. He graduated from St. Ann’s High School in Freeland and King College in Wilkes Barre PA. Bob proudly served his country

in peacetime as a Cryptograp­her with the US Army Signal Corps Communicat­ion Security Service where he attained the rank of 1st Lieutenant. Bob was employed for 35 years

with the Pennsylvan­ia Power & Light Company and retired as the Internatio­nal Director of Economic Developmen­t. He was active in civic affairs in the Lehigh Valley and served on the Board of Directors of United Way, The American Cancer Society, the YMCA, and Junior Achievemen­t. He was a founding member of

St. Thomas More Catholic Church and for many years was an active member of the Parish Council. The center of Bob’s life was always his

family. He loved his children and adored his grandchild­ren. He is survived by his son Neale

J and his wife Carolyn of Thornton PA., his son Patrick and his wife Lisa of Allentown, and his daughter Bridget of West Chester PA. His beloved grandchild­ren are Brian, Kevin, Mary Kate, Connor, Brendan, Colin, and Riley.

A Mass of Christian Burial to celebrate Bob’s life will be held at St. Thomas More Church at 1040 Flexer Avenue in Allentown on November 25 at 3:00 pm. Visitation will be one hour before Mass. Arrangemen­ts by Stephens Funeral Home, Inc. www.stephensfu­neral.
