30-year-old man killed in Tuesday morning crash

Allentown police are investigating a fatal accident Tuesday morning in the city.

Hiram Arroyo, 30, of Allentown died after being hit by a propane truck near the 2000 block of Oxford Drive just before 9 a.m., according to a news release from Lehigh County Coroner Daniel A. Buglio.

The accident is under investigation by Allentown police and the Lehigh County district attorney’s office, according to the release.

Traffic at the busy Lehigh and 31st street intersection, near the crash, was detoured from 9 a.m. to noon, according to Assistant police Chief James Gress.
