Anthony M. “Smokey” Walters, 93, of Allentown, passed away Monday, November 28, 2022, a day before his 94th birthday. He was the husband of the late Annie M. (Macsay) Walters. Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late Joseph and Mabel (Sauers) Walters. Before retiring in 1991, he worked many years for the Allentown Housing Authority and prior in the dry cleaning industry. After attending Allen High School, he joined the US Army Air Corp. and later the Air Force, serving during WWII. He will be remembered for his love of friends and family, especially spending time with his grandson, Tyler, fishing, hunting in his younger years, photograph­y, woodworkin­g and model trains.

Survivors: daughter Christine A. Williams, and her husband Adam of Laurys Station; brother Joseph and his wife Carol of Allentown; grandson Tyler and his fiancé Kaitlyn Koch; several nieces and nephews. He was predecease­d by a sister Caroline Pozzi and her husband Eugene. Services: 11:00 AM, Monday, December 5 at Trexler Funeral Home, 1625 W. Highland St. Allentown. Calling will begin at 10:00 AM.
