Stop with the calls for a new Civil War
Over the years, political and cultural differences have become more heated in their discussions. It has now reached to the point where individuals have resorted to violence. What makes it worse, you have some political figures who are calling for a civil war. Because in their minds it is to save this country. Yes, sometimes violence is unfortunately necessary, to protect one’s own life or the lives of others you love. Like the person who took down the gunman at the night club in Colorado Springs. But to call for for an open civil war is insane. The last time this country experienced a civil war, hundreds of thousands of American lives were lost. Both sides had deaths and destruction. If someone feels civil war is necessary, let them go to Ukraine and see firsthand what war looks like. Yes, that is not a civil war, but it is violence all the same. Can you or would you even want to imagine Allentown, Harrisburg or your home town being bombed? Let us cool the rhetoric down and accept the fact that we as Americans have different opinions. Less hate and more understanding is what we need.
