Sharon Elaine (Shive) Van Why, 78, of Bethlehem, passed away peacefully in the early morning on December 3, 2022 at Moravian Village of Bethlehem. She was the wife of the late Robert M. Van Why,

Jr. Born and raised in Bethlehem, she was the daughter of the late William and Sallie (Kulp) Shive. Sharon was a graduate of Liberty High School. After graduating from high school, Sharon dedicated herself to raising a family. Family gatherings meant everything to her. Sharon was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmothe­r, great grandmothe­r and friend. Sharon was a member of Christ Church United Church of Christ, Bethlehem, and served as a Sunday school teacher for 10 years.

Survivors: She will be forever loved and cherished by her family: son, Michael and fiancé Deborah of Hanover Township, daughter,

Robin Gamble and companion Vandon of Northampto­n; grandchild­ren, Michelle (Mark), Aubrey (Cody), Andrew (Kaitlyn), Erica and Scott (Brittany); great-grandchild­ren Natalie, Dylan & Holden, sister, Donna Recchiuti of Bethlehem, four nieces and her beloved cat, Artith. Sharon was preceded in death by her brothers, William and Donald and a nephew.

Services: A funeral services will be held at 10 AM on Monday, December 12, 2022 at Cantelmi Long Funeral Home, 500 Linden St., Bethlehem,

PA. Calling Hours will be held at the funeral home on Sunday afternoon, December 11, from 4 PM to 6 PM, and on Monday morning, from 9 AM until time of services. Burial will follow at Bethlehem Memorial Park Cemetery. A memory may be placed at cantelmifu­neralhome.com.
