Lopez gives surprise show in Italy

-

Jennifer Lopez recently danced the night away at a nightclub in Capri, Italy, where she treated guests to a surprise performance of Gloria Gaynor’s “I Will Survive.”

The popular club, Taverna Anema e Core, shared a video Saturday on Instagram of Lopez belting the disco track karaokestyle as customers and staff members cheered and clapped to the beat.

In the clip, the artist can be seen singing into the microphone from her table before getting up and putting on a full show with help from the club’s live band. After delivering a passionate rendition of “I Will Survive,” Lopez launched into an encore performance of her 1999 hit, “Let’s Get Loud.”

“One of my favourite songs,” one person replied to a video of Lopez singing “I Will Survive” on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter. “LOVE IT!!!”

“Omg the voice,” another person wrote. “Mama is not playing anymore. Bring it on mama.”

“I love it,” a third person echoed. “I’m now envisioning a 10 year J.Lo singing that song around the house in the Bronx.”

On its website, the nightclub boasts a slew of famous vacationers who have partied there in the past, from Beyoncé and Jay-Z to Leonardo DiCaprio and LeBron James.

Kingston Rossdale makes singing debut:

Blake Shelton’s days on “The Voice” came to an end months ago, but the country star is still platforming rising talent, and this time it’s his stepson, Kingston Rossdale.

Kingston, 17, the son of musicians Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale, made his live singing debut Friday at Shelton’s Ole Red restaurant and bar in Oklahoma. In a video shared by a Facebook user, Shelton introduced Kingston Rossdale.

“I’m very excited, and I’m actually honored to be the first one to introduce this guy to the stage for the very first time ever,” Shelton. “This guy’s an artist.”

Shelton continued, “He’s the real deal, and you guys are going to be able to say you were there at his very first ever ... performance.”

After Kingston began singing a slow rock song about moving on from heartbreak, scores of Ole Red patrons recorded the performance on their phones and cheered for the singer.

Next book in ‘Dog Man’ series coming:

With apologies to Nathaniel Hawthorne and admirers of “The Scarlet Letter,” Dav Pilkey has a shameless name for the next installment of his multimillion selling “Dog Man” children’s books series about a canine superhero: “Dog Man: The Scarlet Shedder,” to be published March 19.

Previous “Dog Man” titles include “Dog Man: A Tale of Two Kitties,” “Dog Man: Lord of the Fleas” and “Dog Man: For Whom the Ball Rolls.” Pilkey’s series has been adapted into a stage musical and a film version is planned.

The “Dog Man” spinoff “Cat Kid Comic Club” also goes on, with “Cat Kid Comic Club: Influencers” set for November.
