Walter N. Fedio, 86, of Orefield, passed away peacefully on September 25, 2023, at Lehigh Valley Hospital – Cedar Crest. Born in Ormrod, PA., he was a son of the late Paul Fedio and Anna (Dorociak) Fedio. He was the husband of the late Sandra A. (Sosnowsky)Fedio with whom he shared 35 years of marriage prior to her passing in 1999. He was a member of St. Joseph the Worker in Orefield. Walter received his Bachelor of Science degree from Kutztown University and later, his Master's Degree from Lehigh University. Walter was an Elementary School Teacher and Reading Specialist for over 20 years for the Whitehall School District, retiring in 1997. Walter was a bartender and officer at St. Nick's Ukrainian Home Associatio­n. He was an avid golfer and had 2 hole in ones! His side job was making golf clubs. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him. He will be lovingly remembered by his daughters; Nicole Fedio and husband Andrew Crouse, Amy Kessler and husband David; son, Gregory Fedio and partner Craig Larter; grandchild­ren; Ava and Anna. He was predecease­d by siblings; Mary Kumernitsk­y, Helen Winarchick, Catherine Cocco and Anna Schlaffer; Paul Fedio and John Fedio. There will be a calling period on Monday, October 9, 2023, from 6-8 PM and Tuesday, October 10, 2023, from 11:00 A.M. – 12:00 P.M. at Brubaker Funeral Home, Inc. 327 Chestnut Street, Coplay, PA. 18037. A funeral service will immediatel­y follow in the parlor at 12:00 P.M. Interment to follow at St. John the Baptist Cemetery in Northampto­n.
