Dating to the 1700s, the “Nei Yaahr Winsching” was tradition among the Pennsylvania Dutch in Berks, Lehigh and

Schuylkill counties. In the week between Christmas and New Year’s, groups of carolers would assemble outside a residence. A “wisher” would call out the occupants and chant a blessing on the household. Info: 610-395-1215.

THE SOUTHEASTERN PENNSYLVANIA SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA

performs Mozart by Candlelight at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 17 at Calvary Baptist Church, 1380 S. Valley Forge Road, Lansdale.

The candlelight concert features three of Mozart’s most famous works along with clarinetist Ricardo Morales, the principal clarinet of The Philadelphia Orchestra.

PERKASIE PATCHWORK COFFEEHOUSE,

320 W. Chestnut St., presents Rolly Brown and Bunny Barnes at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 17. Rolly is a songwriter, National Guitar Fingerpicking Champion and Philadelphia Music Award nominee.
