Two Lehigh Valley mobile home parks sold
Two mobile home parks in western Lehigh County were recently sold.
Northmarq Brokers announced Monday that Red Maple Acres in Lower Macungie Township and Mayo’s Mobile Home Park in Upper Macungie were recently sold. The two developments, which are about 1½ miles apart, have 277 lots over 64 acres.
Northmarq represented the seller, Mayo Homes, which owned both parks. The buyer was identified as ARX Communities by
Multi-Housing News. ARX owns three other mobile home parks in the Lehigh Valley.
The sales price was not disclosed.
“Red Maple Acres and Mayo’s Mobile Home Park are two of the highest-quality manufactured home parks in the region,” said Ari Azarbarzin, senior vice president in Northmarq’s Baltimore office. “Following a robust and competitive bidding process, the new owners were attracted by the rare opportunity to attain significant economies of scale in the booming Lehigh Valley market.”
Built in 1960, Red Maple Acres is at 1190 Grange Road and features 202 lots. Built in 1950, Mayo’s Mobile Home Park is at 7454 Continental Circle and consists of 75 lots. Northmarq said they are 98% occupied.
“Both properties have a long history of providing the Lehigh Valley region with highly desirable, affordable housing by being continuously owned and operated by the same family for more than 70 years,” said Anthony Pino, associate broker of manufactured housing investment sales for Northmarq. “We’re confident that the new owners will build upon the legacy of the previous owners and serve as excellent stewards for the community.”
