Tributes to Bruce Springstee­n and Pink Floyd, and Flogging Molly

The top 3 Lehigh Valleyarea concerts this week are action-packed with two tributes to legendary rock bands, and a Celtic punk/ folk septet.

First is the “World’s #1 Tribute to Bruce Springstee­n & The E Street Band,” pulling out all the stops to create a memorable show for fans of The Boss during a two-nighter at the Sellersvil­le Theater. Next is a group that replicates the live Pink Floyd experience playing career-spanning sets compliment­ed with a mind-blowing video and light show.

Last, a band out of LA who have been playing both Celtic punk and folk music interchang­eably since 1995 come to Jim Thorpe.

BRUCE IN THE USA

Meet the band: Bruce in the USA doesn’t take the “World’s #1 Tribute to Bruce Springstee­n & The E Street Band” title lightly. They perform note-fornote renditions of Springstee­n hits with an energetic performanc­e that’s the next best thing to seeing Bruce himself. Singer Matt Ryan

got his start playing Springstee­n in the “Legends in Concert” Las Vegas show in 2000, then started the band in 2004. The band has been selling out shows since their inception.

Honors: For over two decades Brain Damage has faithfully recreated the Pink Floyd experience live on stage for adoring fans. From the ominous clocks in “Time” to the iconic “Pigs’” “talking guitar” lead and the mesmerizin­g computer voice in “Keep Talking,” the band leaves no stone unturned. The experience includes a memorable video and light show with covers ranging from the Syd Barrett era through “The Division Bell.”

FLOGGING MOLLY

Meet the band: A sevenpiece Celtic punk/folk band, Flogging Molly formed in 1995 as the house band for Molly Malone’s in Los Angeles. Since that time, they’ve shared the stage with bands as varied as The Chieftains and Motörhead, cutting through different scenes and genres seamlessly. Their latest album, “Anthem,” was recorded in only 14 days by the legendary Steve Albini, taking them back to their roots doing what they do best.
