Albert A Lewis, DVM passed away January 26, 2024 at the age of 92. He graduated from the University of Illinois Veterinary School with High Honors. He and his wife Hilda Lewis built a 4 veterinary practice consisting of cattle, horses and domestic pets in Woodstown,

NJ. In 1988 the veterinary practice was sold, and they moved to the Adirondack Park in northern New York. Previously he was leader of the Al Lewis and the Delaware Valley Rangers Band and in the United States Coast Guard. While retired in the Adirondack Park he continued to practice veterinary medicine part time. When not working, his days were spent hiking, achieving his goal of becoming a 46er and fishing. When not in the great outdoors he was playing his guitar, singing in the Saranac Lake Presbyteri­an Church Choir; he served as President of the Saranac Lake Rotary Club 19931994, Program Organizer for the Adirondack Mountain Club, board member of North

Country Home Services and the Santa Clara Variance Board.

In 2012 He and Hilda moved to Allentown,

PA to spend time with their children and grandchild­ren.

He is survived by his 2 daughters Rebecca MacDonald (Husband John MacDonald, children Emma & Ian) and Linda Lewis as well as his son Daryl Lewis. He is predecease­d by his devoted wife Hilda Lewis, his father Albert Lewis, mother Emma Lewis and brother Robert Lewis. A visitation will be held on Saturday March 9th, 2024 from 10:00 am – 10:45 am and a Memorial Service starting at 11:00 am at Christ Church, King of Prussia, 501 Swedesford Rd Wayne, PA 19087.

Burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, contributi­ons may be made in Albert’s memory to either the First Presbyteri­an Church of Saranac Lake, NY or Adirondack Mountain Club.
