Jeffrey Allen Schremp
DILLSBURG – Jeffrey Allen Schremp, 61, of Dillsburg and Mechanicsburg, PA passed aw a y peacefully October 5, 2014 surrounded by his family, friends and loyal companion, Hunter.
Jeffrey was born September 22, 1953 in Lorain County, Ohio to John R Schremp and Patricia A (Schmidt) Schremp.
Jeff worked in several auto manufacturing plants in Michigan and Northeast Ohio.
He most recently retired from Atlas Roofing Corporation of Camp Hill Pa after 28 ½ years of service.
He is survived by his wife Doris Brytz, of Mechanicsburg, Pa as well as two sisters, Janet Day (Thomas) and Ellen Schremp of Lafayette and Indianapolis Indiana and two brothers Brian (Julie) and Eric Schremp of West Lafayette Indiana and Michigan. Jeff is also survived by a loving Uncle Thomas Schmidt and wife Debbie of Wellington, Ohio. He also leaves behind several nieces and nephews.
Jeff was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing and was a long term member of the National Rifle Association (NRA).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to The Brytz-Schremp Foundation, c/o Americhoice Federal Credit Union at 2175 Bumble Bee Hollow Road, Mechanicsburg Pa. The foundation funds further specific research and development into rare diseases at the medical school level at universities specifically Penn State University, College of Medicine, Hershey Pa.
Doris wishes to express her gratitude to Jeffrey’s nurses and care givers including Traci van Eck and Amy Cooper of Celtic Hospice, Barry Barclay and Chris Miller of “Home Instead” and Tina Wallace, his private duty nurse. Your compassionate care, thoughtfulness, and kindness will forever be remembered.

There will be a Celebration of Jeffrey’s Life held at the convenience of the family at a later date.
