Joan E. Rositano

LORAIN – Joan E. Rositano, age 81, a lifelong resident of Lorain passed away Wednesd ay , November 5, 2014 at Mercy Regional Medical Center after a brief illness.

She was born on July 18, 1933 to Harry and Lucille Sullivan and was a 1950 graduate of Lorain High School. Joan worked as a bookkeeper for Ted Jacobs in Lorain until it’s closing with 35 years of service. She then went on to work as a teller for the Oberlin Avenue Branch of First Federal Bank for 12 years.

Joan was a member of the Church of St. Peter, Lorain. She enjoyed reading and loved going to the numerous sporting events of her children and grandchildren. She was very proud of all of the accomplishments of her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Bruno; children, Dr. David (Loretta) Rositano, of Lorain, Diane Kish, of Amherst and John (Val) Rositano, of Amherst; grandchildren, Matthew Rosi- tano, Lynne (Brandon Wilhelm) Rositano, Ryan (Jillian) Kish, Brandon Kish, Halle Kish, Jenna Rositano and Abby Rositano; sister, Harriet Kozich, of Lorain.

Joan was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Lucille Sullivan.

The Rositano family will receive friends on Friday, November 7, 2014 from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. in the Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center, 1110 Cooper Foster Park Road, Amherst where closing prayers will be held on Saturday, November 8th at 9:00 a.m. followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. at the Church of St. Peter, 3655 Oberlin Ave., Lorain. Rev. Fr. Craig Hovanec, Pastor, will officiate. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery. Lorain.
