VERMILION – Joseph A. Murray, 32, of Vermilion, died Frid a y , December 19, 2014 at his parents home after a lengthy illness.

Joe was bornMarch 27, 1982 in Lorain, and has been a life long Vermilion resident.

He graduated from Vermilion High School and owned and operated Murray’s Tree Care. He had also worked for Edwards Tree Service and as a fireman with the Vermilion Volunteer Fire Department.

Joe enjoyed four wheeling and off-roading. He also enjoyed spending time in the outdoors, camping, bonfires, fishing, and drag racing in Norwalk. Joe especially enjoyed spending time with his daughter.

He is survived by his daughter, Evelyn Murray; parents, Arthur Jr. and Mary (nee Cross) Murray of Vermilion; sister, Krystal (Josef) Russell of Vermilion; nieces, Karaline and Katherine; paternal grandmothe­r, Ethel Murray, companion of 10 years, Sabrina Harper of Lorain; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins, including his close Uncle (Uncs) Mike.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparen­ts , Robert E. Cross and Leota A. Surrena and his paternal grandfathe­r, Arthur Murray Sr.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, Dec. 21, 2014 from 5 - 9 pm at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion, OH. Funeral services will be Monday, Dec. 22, 2014 at 11 am at the Harbourtow­n Community Church, 873 State St., Vermilion. Pastor Jim Cooper will officiate.
