LORAIN - Betty Jane Tomazic, age 89, formerly of Lorain, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, Dec, 20, 2014.

She was born to John and Alice Casper, in Lorain.

Betty enjoyed the Cleveland Browns, Cleveland Cavaliers, and Columbus Blue Jackets. Sometimes, her son would take her to a casino that she enjoyed. She was a member of St. Mary’s Rosary Guild in Lorain, the Lorain Federation of Women’s Club and the Cosmopolit­an Club of Lorain. She was President of the Women’s Bowling League at Redmens in 1964 and a social club member of a group called the Wedete’s. She enjoyed camping and traveling with her husband. One of her favorite vacations was with her husband on a cruise.

Survived by her son, Glenn (Patsy Polito); granddaugh­ter, Sonya, and her mother Diane Buchanan; brother, John (Marie) Casper of Laguna Woods, Calif; nieces, Susan Garred of San Clemente, Calif, and Linda Sekular of Lorain; nephews, Johnny Casper of San Francisco, Calif, Bob Kara of Grafton, Johnny Kara of Elyria, Michael Kara of North Olmsted, Michael Conrad of Lucas; and her lifelong friend, Ceil Stanisland, of Lorain. She is preceded in death by her husband, Frank, whom she was married to for 62 years. Visita- tion will be from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m., Monday, Dec. 22, 2014, at the Rutherford Funeral Home at Powell, 450 W. Olentangy Street (Powell Rd. /St. Rt. 750/ ¼ mile east of Sawmill Pkwy.) Powell, OH 43065 where a Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, with Fr. James Black officiatin­g. Burial to follow at Resurrecti­on Cem- etery.
