First Student to provide bus shuttle for students
In a new move starting next month, First Student will provide bus transportation for Elyria High School students. According to Elyria City Schools: Beginning Sept. 12, First Student offers morning shuttles to Elyria High students through a bus pass program.
A bus pass costs $35 for a year. First Student can accommodate up to 550 riders on a firstcome-first-served basis.
So far, shuttle service is not available after school.
Shuttle pick up locations include:
• Westwood Middle School, 42314 Adelbert St., pick up location is the back parking lot with orange cones.
• Oakwood Elementary, 925 Spruce St., main entrance
doors for the school.
• Elyria soccer field, off Abbe Road.
• Ely Elementary, 312 Gulf Road, bus pick up off Gulf Road.
• McKinley Elementary, 620 E. River St., parking lot off of Sherman.
• Prospect Elementary, 1410 Prospect St., in Prospect circle.
Students must show their First Student bus pass for every ride and must abide by other safety rules.
