Trump off to great start as president
The Republican Party establishment, sometimes referred to as the “right,” still exists, at least in the minds of some who call themselves conservatives.
That establishment was defeated in the primaries while headed by the Bush family, Mitt Romney, and other has-beens, and is no more relevant than the Democratic Party establishment that went down to ignominious defeat headed by Hillary Clinton, and is now led by Chuck Schumer, Nancy Pelosi, Barbara Boxer, Diane Feinstein and Elizabeth Warren.
This list of losers still has many followers, including Jonah Goldberg, who wrote a Feb. 10 column titled “Right can’t defend his behavior.”
What they don’t understand and are probably incapable of understanding is that we don’t defend the behavior of Donald Trump, we celebrate it. Tweet away, Donald. We love to know what you are thinking. Please continue to be yourself, the guy we voted for is finally a president that does what he says he will do.
It is less than a month and in spite of the conspiratorial media, Democrats in Congress, and left-leaning judiciary, we are making progress toward a great cabinet, national security, workable health care, taxation sanity, fair trade, balanced diplomatic relations and much more to undue the disaster of the last eight years. And you ain’t seen nothin’ yet. Don Race New London
