New business to hold grand opening
A new business is coming to the Artstown Shopping Center in Avon Lake. The Jamily Warehouse at 33483 Lake Road will hold its grand opening on Aug. 4 from 4:30 to 8 p.m. and on Aug. 5 from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
The idea for the business came from Jennifer and Jacob Gorny of Lorain as Jennifer’s thrifty shopping habits led her to create a thriving eBay business reselling unique thrift store finds.
“I am really excited to introduce Jamily Warehouse to the Northeast Ohio community,” Jennifer said. “It’s the next evolution of a business that just started with me enjoying the hunt for deals at thrift stores and garage stores.
The store will be open every other weekend and will feature a completely new inventory each time and offer shoppers brand new consumer goods at discounted prices up to 50 percent off.
“We’re only open every other weekend and, it’s like a brand new store each time,” she said. “We bring in semi-truck loads of shelf-pull and overstock items. Once the weekend is over, we bring in an entirely new inventory of products for the next sale. You never know what you’ll find, so every visit is like a treasure hunt.”
The grand opening will feature hourly prize drawings with a grand prize valued at $500 in addition to other activities for shoppers.
“I like to say that everybody gets the family discount at Jamily Warehouse,” she said. “We are a very family-oriented business. We like to have fun, and we really want to create a fun shopping experience.”
