Culver’s coming to Avon
The Avon Planning Commission approved the final development plan on Nov. 15 to bring a new Culver’s restaurant to the city.
The new location will be at 1439 Center Road and will be the franchise’s first location in Northeast Ohio.
The 4,330-square foot retail location sits on a 1.64acre lot and will be located in close proximity to Wendy’s and Panda Express, and is the last lot in the Avon Crossings commercial subdivision.
Co-owner Aaron Appell of Bramhall Engineering was granted approval of the project’s final development plan contingent on the submission and approval of a maintenance and traffic plan for review by the city.
“We generally line up with all the other buildings out there and meet the setback requirements and we’ve got 57 parking spots,” Appell said.
Appell added the project will continue working on some interconnection work to take place as part of the master plan.
The Planning Commission also approved a special use permit enabling the new location to construct a patio. The recommendation from Planning Commission will be required to go through Avon City Council for final approval of the patio.
“I’ve had a lot of comments from residents who know the Culver’s name and they’ve admonished me that I better not mess things up. Welcome to Northeast Ohio,” said Ward 3 Councilwoman and Planning Commission member Mary Berges.
