Upcoming survey, public meetings announced by MOVE Lorain County
MOVE Lorain County is inviting the community to participate in a survey and upcoming public meetings, according to a news release.
MOVE, which stands for Mobility and Opportunity for a Vibrant Economy, is aiming for participants to assist in achieving its three goals of identifying Lorain County’s transportation strengths and needs, establishing a single location for a multi-organizational bank of transportation data to be available to all Lorain County residents and to devise plans to improve transportation, the release said.
The process of developing a plan would involve the consideration of many types of transportation including biking, walking, ride sharing and public transit.
MOVE is encouraging resident feedback through a survey available online at www.MOVELorainCounty.org under the Coordinated Transportation Plan tab.
The organization is looking for responses to be completed by Aug. 7.
Community stakeholders also can attend one of two public meetings on the plan.
The first meeting starts at 5:30 p.m. July 30 at Lorain County Community College – College Center, 1005 N. Abbe Road in Elyria, in association with the annual meeting of the Lorain County Urban League.
The second meeting starts at 6 p.m. Aug. 1 LCCC’s Wellington Center, 151 Commerce Drive in Wellington.
