University Hospitals Elyria Medical Center will host a Joint Pain Seminar on Oct. 24 in the Spitzer Conference Center at Lorain County Community College, 1005 N. Abbe Road in Elyria.
Guests are invited from 6 to 8 p.m. to hear from orthopedic surgeons from UH Elyria about the latest treatment options for joint pain.
This free seminar will provide information about how UH Elyria physicians can help with hip, knee or shoulder pain.
Attendees also will learn about the Mako System, a highly advanced robotic technology that is transforming the way joint replacement procedures are performed at UH Elyria, the release said.
Speakers at the event include surgeons David Marsh, Matthew Popa and William Stanfield.
“Millions of people suffer from joint pain, but there are many options to treat it,” said William Stanfield, orthopedic surgeon with University Hospitals Elyria. “At this free community seminar, my colleagues Dr. Marsh, Dr. Popa and I will discuss, both surgical and non-surgical, approaches to treating joint pain.
“Whether you’re young or old, an athlete or a weekend warrior, we’ll find the treatment that will help ease your joint pain and get you back in the game of life.”
Additionally, free health screenings including balance and grip, bone density and physical and occupational therapy will be offered.
