Business group sets holiday bazaar

The Oberlin Business Partnershi­p is hosting the third annual Oberlin Holiday Bazaar from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Nov. 18.

The event will take place at the New Russia Township lodge, 46300 Butternut Ridge Road.

Over 500 guests attended last year’s bazaar and this year is expected to be even bigger, according to a news release.

Guests can shop for holiday presents with over 60 craft and product vendors.

There will be door prizes, visits and pictures with Santa and Mrs. Claus, face painting, raffles and Disney characters.

New this year, a food court providing lunch, snacks and treats.

There also will be a chance at winning a $10,000 family vacation.

Admission for the bazaar is $5 for two or $3 each. Children ages 12 and younger are admitted for free.

Lively Avon Lakers meeting Nov. 21

Musician Ron “Cruisin’” Howard will entertain the Lively Avon Lakers social club with his Motown sound during their Nov. 21 luncheon.

Lunch starts at 11:45 a.m. at the Legacy Club of Sweetbriar Golf Course, 750 Jaycox Road in Avon Lake, according to a news release.

The program will follow lunch.

The menu will include turkey with gravy, roasted mixed potatoes, vegetable medley, Legacy salad, a beverage and confetti cake for desert, the release said.
