Thanksgiving service: The North Ridgeville Community Thanksgiving service will be at 7 p.m. Nov. 18 at Fields United Methodist Church, 34077 Lorain Road, North Ridgeville. The service will include an offering taken to benefit Community Care of North Ridgeville. The service is sponsored by the North Ridgeville Ministerial Association. Hurka/Kolbasz sale: A Hurka/Kolbasz (fresh sausage) sale sponsored by the American Hungarian Council of Lorain County, Inc., will be held at the Hungarian Reformed Church, 1691 E. 31st St., Lorain, from noon to 3 p.m. Dec. 8. Free community meal: On the last Sunday of every month from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m., Journey of Faith Church in North Ridgeville cooks and serves a fresh hot meal for those in need in the community. This is done in connection with Community Care in North Ridgeville and other churches in the area. The community meal provides more than a hot meal though.
