Flor­ida homi­cide sus­pect ar­rested

A Flor­ida man wanted in a Flor­ida homi­cide case was found and ar­rested Dec. 6 in North Olmsted.

U.S. mar­shals in Cleve­land ar­rested An­gel Ogando, 25, who was wanted for a homi­cide that oc­curred in Or­lando, Fla., in June 2017, ac­cord­ing to a news re­lease from U.S. mar­shals.

Ogando al­legedly shot and killed a fe­male in her Or­lando home, the re­lease said.

The in­ci­dent orig­i­nally was in­ves­ti­gated as a sui­cide and Ogando was ques­tioned im­me­di­ately fol­low­ing the in­ci­dent and re­leased.

New ev­i­dence came out in late 2018, which led to a war­rant for homi­cide be­ing is­sued for Ogando.

The North­ern Ohio Vi­o­lent Fugi­tive Task Force ar­rested Ogando near the 4800 block of Columbia Road af­ter learn­ing he was hid­ing here with a fe­male, the re­lease said.

Ogando is in the Cuya­hoga County Jail await­ing ex­tra­di­tion to Colum­bus.
