Nativity scene turns 100

“Lorain’s Little Town of Bethlehem” is celebratin­g its 100th year of providing a nativity scene for the public to view.

Those who want to help in recognitio­n of the celebratio­n, may purchase blue or white poinsettia­s from Zelek’s Flower Shop by calling 440-244-5259 or Bonaminio’s Flower Shop by calling 440-245-3505. Orders are accepted until Dec. 15.

Monetary donations also will be accepted. All donations go to the purchase of new Fontanini figurines for the Nativity display, according to a news release.

The display, 1046 W. 19th St. in Lorain, is free to view for the public starting Dec. 7. It will be available from 6-9 p.m. through Jan. 15.
