Three men shot on East 28th Street

The Morning Journal (Lorain, OH) - - LOCAL NEWS - Staff re­port Lo­rain Po­lice Depart­ment en­cour­ages any­one with in­for­ma­tion re­lated to this in­ci­dent to con­tact the Lo­rain Po­lice Depart­ment De­tec­tive Bureau at 440204-2105.

Lo­rain Po­lice of­fi­cers were dis­patched to three men who were shot about 1:53 p.m. Jan. 13 on the 1600 block of East 28th Street.

Of­fi­cers found a white 52-year-old male, a black 57-year-old male and white 35-year-old male with gun­shot wounds, ac­cord­ing to a news re­lease from the Lo­rain Po­lice Depart­ment.

A ve­hi­cle sus­pected to be in­volved was stopped by po­lice shortly after the shoot­ing and two males, ages 22-years-old and 40-year­sold, were taken into cus­tody, the re­lease said.

Sev­eral sus­pected weapons and ev­i­dence were con­fis­cated, the re­lease said.

The three men who were shot were trans­ported to Mercy Re­gional Med­i­cal Cen­ter in Lo­rain for treat­ment, the re­lease said.

Ac­cord­ing to am­bu­lance sources, they are in se­ri­ous con­di­tion.
