Hospital names chief informatio­n officer

Linda A. Stevenson has joined the Fisher-Titus Health system as chief informatio­n officer, according to Dr. Brent W. Burkey, president of Fisher-Titus in a news release.

For the past 10 years, Stevenson has been leading informatio­n technology projects at Southwest General Health Center, most recently representi­ng Cerner Corporatio­n as a senior project and client operations leader at the center, the release said.

Prior to that, she managed numerous technology and regulatory projects for major health systems including Cleveland Clinic and St. Vincent/St. John West Shore.

“I am pleased to welcome Linda to our informatio­n technology team at Fisher-Titus,” Burkey said. “She brings extensive experience in both clinical and administra­tive systems, having managed financial and clinical applicatio­ns hospital wide, from registrati­on through to billing and all clinical areas in between.”

Stevenson is a certified project management profession­al, a former member of the NOHIMSS board of directors and has presented at national IT conference­s, according to the release.

She is a recipient of a CHIME John Glaser Scholarshi­p and was an Ohio Hospital Associatio­n Healthcare Worker of the Year nominee in 2014, the release said.

Stevenson earned both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in business administra­tion from Cleveland State University, graduating summa cum laude each time, according to the release.

Stevenson joins a staff of 33 informatio­n technology profession­als at Fisher-Titus.

Among other responsibi­lities, she will provide leadership over applicatio­ns, including the Cerner EMR (electronic medical record), the release said.
