• Clippers (21-15): Triple-A Columbus plated a run in top of the 10th for a 5-4win at Pawtucket. Bobby Bradley, starting the extra frame on second base, went to third on a wild pitch and scored on Mark Mathias’ single to right. Mathias went 4-for-4 with two RBI, raising his average to .283. • RubberDuck­s (16-21): Double-A Akron was shut out, 2-0, by the Bowie Bay Sox. Daniel Johnson led the offense with a team-high two hits of the six. The Bay Sox also had six hits. Jake Paulson started on the mound. He threw six, gave up five hits and three strikeouts. Bowie’s Ademar Rifaela had the only extra base hit for both teams with a double. • Hillcats (18-17): Justin Garza tossed seven shutout innings, striking out five, but he did not factor in the decision as Single-A Lynchburg fell, 3-2, to visiting Carolina in 11innings. Gabriel Mejia went 2-for-5and Luke Wakamatsu contribute­d a single and a steal. • Captains (21-15): Tyler Freeman scored on a wild pitch, propelling Single-A Lake County to a 5-4win over visiting Fort Wayne. Mitch Reeves went 2-for-3, including a two-out, tworun home run in the first.
