• Clippers (38-28): Triple-A Columbus defeated the Lehigh Valley IronPigs (32-32), 13-6, on June 14. The Clippers ended the day with five home runs and one double. Trayce Thompson (3-for-5), Mark Mathias (3-for-5), Eric Stamets (1-for-4), Bobby Bradley (2-for-5) and Ryan Flaherty (2-for-5) all homered, and Daniel Johnson had the double. Aaron Civale (1-0) earned the win. He pitched five innings, gave up seven hits, three runs, two earned runs, walked two and struck out nine. Catcher Eric Haase went 1-for-4.

• RubberDuck­s (34-32): Double-A Akron lost, 3-2, to the Portland Sea Dogs (23-40). Alex Call (1-for3) had the only extra-base hit for the Ducks with a double. Connor Marabell led the offense with two hits in three at-bats.

• Hillcats (32-33): Advanced Single-A Lynchburg lost to the Wilmington Blue Rocks (42-25), 3-2. Mike Rivera and Nolan Jones had doubles and Steven Kwan had the lone RBI that drove in Rivera in the sixth.

• Captains (39-28): Single-A Lake County fell, 3-2, to the Fort Wayne Tincaps (32-34). Left fielder Will Benson (1-for-3) hit a home run in the ninth in a rally attempt. Bo Naylor (1-for-4), Ruben Cardenas (1-for-4) and Henry Pujols (1-for-4) all hit doubles.

• Scrappers (1-0): Short-season Single-A Mahoning Valley opened its 2019 season on the road against the West Virginia Black Bears (0-1) with a 5-4 victory. Braxton Ashcraft (1-0) earned the opening-day win. He pitched five innings, gave up two hits, three runs, two earned runs, walked one and struck out three. Ryan Haug (2-for-4) and Dean Lockery (1-for-4) both hit doubles. Lockery had a team-high two RBI. Kyle Mottice (1-for-4) had one RBI.
