The Westlake Police Department is looking for three men connected to a purse snatching at Crocker Park, Aug. 9.

Officers responded at 7:37 p.m. for a report of a theft from the patio at Zoup! at The Promenade of Crocker Park, according to a Westlake police news release.

Two men approached a woman at the restaurant. While one of the men distracted the victim by asking questions, the second grabbed her purse. Both fled into a waiting black Honda CR-V.

One of the men was described as a black male who looked like a very young teen wearing a red Under Armor hoodie and black shorts.

The other man, who actually grabbed the purse from the table, is a black male who looks to be an older teen or young adult.

He was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans.

Officers located the getaway vehicle, reported as stolen out of Cleveland, traveling on Interstate 90 east and attempted to stop it.

The driver was observed to be a third black man, the release said.

Officers pursued the vehicle for about two minutes before discontinuing for safety reasons.

Anyone who recognizes either of the suspects or has additional information is asked to contact the Westlake Police Department at 440-8713311.
