FireFish Festival planners to hold informational meeting
Anyone interested in learning more about the FireFish Festival is invited to a public meeting Aug. 13.
The annual FireFish Festival is scheduled for Sept. 21 and 22 this year.
Plans for the festival will be discussed in the meeting at 5:30 p.m. Aug. 13 at the Lorain Learning Center of Lorain County Community College, in the City Center at 201 W. Erie Ave. across from city hall.
The meeting is open to any interested members of the community.
Local business operators are especially encouraged to attend to learn about road closures and parking restrictions.
Input into the festival is invited at this time and opportunities to participate will also be discussed, said Emily Hoag, FireFish Festival director.
This year’s event will feature music and art 4 to 11 p.m. on Sept. 21, which is a Friday.
FireFish will offer performances and children’s activities in an expanded day format on Sept. 22.
This year’s festival will conclude with the burning of the FireFish, the signature finale of the event.
