Partners With Paws announces fall fundraiser

- Staff report

Partners With Paws of Lorain County has launched a fall fundraiser, “SOS Funds Needed for Homeless Animals Never Ends.”

According to a news release from Partners With Paws, animal shelters are full, badly needed foster homes are far and few between and many of the animals rescued from pounds need medical attention and often require life-saving surgery and follow up care for the rest of their lives.

Times are tough for animal rescuers, but Lorain County has many wonderful groups, volunteers and advocates stepping up to help the many homes animals in this community, the release said.

Currently, it takes $66 to rescue one dog from a dog pound, so Partners With Paws is seeking donations of $60, or more, and if less ... it all adds up to $60 quickly, according to the release.

And in return, all donors of $60 or more will be entered into a drawing for a $250 Amazon Gift Card, generously donated by Suerth Financial Services of Elyria, the release said.

The funds raised by Partners With Paws also helps cats and other animals, too.

Though Partners With Paws are in need of donations all year long, it will need to receive donations of $60 or more by Nov. 19 for the chance to win the Amazon Gift Card, according to the release.

The winner will be notified by phone.
