Family atmosphere

-

Bucci said she wants her store to be run almost like a family.

“It feels like a family, that’s what everybody says when they work here,” she said. “A lot of people transfer to this store, and they feel like it is a better environment.

“I try to be a mentor to

the younger employees we hire in the area with life and decision making. Really, it’s just running a family-oriented store where people love coming to work rather than feeling like it’s a burden.”

Customer service plays a big part in success as well, Bucci said.

“I just feel like we have a really good team here that makes sure the customers are happy,” she said. “We have regular customers. We have a guy that says he will be here 365 days a year, and he really does come here everyday.

“Customers really make a big difference when they are saying how much they love your store. It’s nice to hear.”

Bucci said she has loved being at the Lorain location.

“I’ve been working for McDonald’s for 17 years altogether,” she said. “I was at this location, then I was at Grafton for three years, and now I’m back for almost two and half years.

“With Lorain, we know a lot of our customers, so for some of them we have their food ready for them.”

Bucci said she also loves

working for the owner of the Henderson location.

“We have a really good owner, Jason Payne,” she said. “He is a really great guy to work for.”

Cody Szymanel, one of the crew members at the Henderson McDonald’s, said Bucci encourages employees.

“She’s awesome,” Szymanel said. “She is very kind and motivating. She really makes me enjoy coming to work.”

Payne said he loves the work Bucci does at the store.

“She is excellent, and the fact that she won the Ray Kroc shows that,” he said. “She does a great job of motivating her crew and she really treats them like family.

“She also really gets involved in the community and she works hard and is diligent in all she does.”

Bucci will be recognized during McDonald’s 2020 World Wide Convention in April in Orlando.

The ceremony will take place in front of the 15,000 people who will attend the McDonald’s World Wide Convention from all over the globe.
